For the second year, Amarillo Area CASA is teaming up with WTAMU Graphic Design students to present a one-night gallery event! AACASA advocates for abused and neglected children in foster care, most of whom have experienced unimaginable emotional pain and loss of family. When given the chance to express themselves artistically, we were overwhelmed by the love and positivity in their work. These amazing kids prove to us every day that there is always hope. Using the child art, the Graphic Design students have created their own interpretations.
The HeArt of CASA is a gallery event at the Rocking OT on Historic Route 66, where all original works will be available by silent auction. Patrons will enjoy live music provided by Kim and the Crash, heavy hors d’oeuvres, wine and craft beer. Additionally, a “6th Street Crawl” will be held in the hours leading up to the main event to include businesses along 6th Street. Donated works of art along with event maps will be on display at all participating locations.
