Volunteer Supervisor
Reports to: Director of Advocacy
Status: Full Time
FLSA Status: Non Exempt
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIRED
Experience in training, management, development, and retention of advocates. Additional experiences in the following areas are preferred: volunteer management, civil court system, and child abuse and neglect issues.
The Volunteer Supervisor must also possess strong oral and written communication skills, effective volunteer management, and the ability to plan and lead in a strategic manner.
RESPONSIBILTIES:
• Assist advocates with the development of case plans and ongoing advocacy.
•Volunteer Supervisors will supervise up to a maximum of 30 volunteers and a maximum of 45 cases.
• Maintain case files according to compliance and procedures.
• Provide support and guidance for volunteers on cases and supervises all aspects of each case from beginning to end.
• Coordinate and submit court reports to Director of Advocacy for final approval.
• Maintain documentation of monthly volunteer contact and submit report to Director of Advocacy monthly.
• Facilitates effective communication between volunteers, Child Protective Services, courts, attorneys and other relevant parties and consults with such regarding volunteer assignments. Represent CASA in a positive and professional manner.
• Attends meetings and court hearing, at designated county.
• Ensure proper documentation per standards and guidelines.
• Ensure that court reports are reviewed and filed/emailed to all parties
• Volunteer Supervisor will work with volunteer coordinator to assign cases to volunteers.
• Assist in developing and implementing program goals.
• Participate in volunteer training and help coordinate volunteer recognition.
• Will participate in program events, projects and other duties as required.
Travel
Travel is 25% of time. Locally, and statewide. May occasionally have to travel nationwide.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in social services, or other related field. May substitute for experience in related field.

SALARY & BENEFITS:
Amarillo Area CASA offers paid time off, paid holidays including an extended
Christmas break, flexible work schedule, and health insurance coverage
at no cost to full time employee.
Office hours are
Monday through Friday 8 am. to Friday 5 pm. with summer hours 7 am. to 5 pm.
Monday through Thursday and
Fridays from 8: am. to 12 p.
Starting salary will be based on experience.
